Woodlice

Woodlice Pest Control Products

Woodlice are not actually crawling insects, but are one of only a few land crustaceans. They have segmented bodies, 14 legs, usually grey backs and are about 10-15mm long and usually associated with damp, especially damp wood. You will readily find them outside under garden pots and stones, but they will also come inside and be present under logs, doormats or any damp and dark areas. They do not carry pathogens and do not bite, but their presence inside is unwelcome and often an indication of an underlying issue with damp, or a leak, which may be affecting wood. Treatment can be carried out using a variety of insecticides and the use of powders for a residual effect, but if the damp issue isn’t dealt with, they may well come back.
