We’ve all become a lot more aware of the need for anti-bacterial products since the on-set of Covid-19, but you also need to be vigilent if you are dealing with a pest control issue. Rodents and birds in particular are spreaders of pathogens and and can carry diseases that can make humans very indeed or worse if the correct precautions are not taken. Among other things rats for instance can carry and transmit Leptospirosis (Weil’s disease), Salmonella and Listeria to humans. Major clearance of fouling from pests should only be attempted by technicians experienced and trained in this area using the appropriate PPE including cut and breathing protection.
