Insect Control Products

Many products are designed to be suitable for control of a wide range of insect problems. They tend to break down into three categories – knockdown products, traps, and residual products such as powders. Sprays such as aerosols can be very effective if you can see the problem pest, but there are always likely to be insects, nymphs and eggs in places where you can’t see them as well and the residual effects of products the public can buy can be very limited compared to professional products. So if you are tackling an insect issue yourself, we usually advise combining a knockdown with a residual that will keep working for you, such as powders which target insects in a physical rather than chemical way. There are a wide range of organic knockdowns available these days which again tend to work physically, and the powders are otten non-toxic too. Foggers can work well in confined spaces such as lofts and rooms where you can shut the doors and windows. Traps and lures can attract either through pheromones or through use of food stuff derivatives which attract the target insect.
